The bill to replace the union government’s ordinance which was promogulated for the creation of an authority to affect the posting and transfers of officers of group A in Delhi will be taken up by July 31 which is next week. The bill is likely to be taken on Monday even though it isn’t mentioned by the minister.
The ordinance facilitated the setting up of NCCSA (National Capital Civil service authority) for the transfer of any disciplinary proceeding against the officer of group-A from DANICS (Delhi Andaman Nicobar Dadra Nagar Haveli Civil Centre)
Arvind Kejriwal challenged the new law on the ground that it violated the supreme court order of May 11 which had given them control over services in Delhi excluding the land, public and police order.
The opposition parties in parliament have given some notices to move a resolution to oppose the ordinance when it is considered in the house. This ordinance has become a rallying point for all those parties which belong to India’s national developmental inclusive alliance (INDIA).
In past Tuesday, the union cabinet gave its approval to the government of the national capital territory of Delhi bill that will make the lieutenant governor have the final say in the appointments and transfer in case there are differences in NCCSA.
