PM Modi launches week-long ‘Sankalp Saptaah’ at Bharat Mandapam for Aspirational Blocks


Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday had launched a very unique week-long program for all the aspirational blocks in the country which is referred to as the Sankalp Saptaah and that too at Bharat Mandapam which is in the National Capital.

Sankalp Saptaah is primarily linked to the most effective implementation of the aspirational blocks Program also referred to as the ABP.

It’s major aim is to improve the governance at the block level in order to enhance the whole quality of life of all the Indian citizens and it is being largely implemented in 500 Aspirational Blocks that too across 329 districts in the country.

In order to implement the Aspirational Blocks Program and to prepare an effective block development strategy chintan shivirs which were organized at a large scale at village and block levels across the whole country.

The Sankalp Saptaah is a culmination of all these chintan shivirs and will be observed in all of the 500 Aspirational Blocks. Each day in this Sankalp Saptaah starting from October 3 till October 9 is dedicated wholly to a specific development theme on which all the aspirational blocks will work and this themes for the six days include Sampporna Swasthya, Suposhit Pariwaar, Swachhta, Krishi, Shiksha and Samridhi Diwas. The last day of the week that is 9th October will be regarded as the celebration of the work which is conducted during the entire week as Sankalp Saptaah-Samvesh Samaroh.
The Inaugural programme will even witness the participation of on an about 3000 panchayat and block level people’s representative and fucntionaries from all across the country in Bharat Mandapam

In addition to this about two lakh people including block and panchayat level functionaries, farmers and persons from other walks of life will be joining this programme virtually.
