RCB appoints Big Bash winner Luke Williams as WPL head coach

Royal challengers Bangalore one of the prominent and best playing team of the IPL have recently announced the appointment of Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) and Women’s hundred winner Luke Williams as their new Women’s premier league had coach. Williams is all ready to take over for Ben Sawyer under whom RCB has managed only two wins in eight games in the inaugral WPL and have finished fourth out of the five teams.


The 43- year old Adelaide born cricketer has now played first class cricket for South Australia. Williams has led the Adelaide strikers to their first women’s big bash league title in the year of 2022-23 after the two runners up finished during his only four season tenure as head coach.

Williams was also an assistant coach for the Southern Braves in the Women’s Hundred championship which was leading the team to its first ever title and he even coached the South Australian scorpions in the Women’s National cricket league of 50 overs for around 4 years which lead them to second place on two special occasion and he was the head coach of Australia’s A team during the whole recent tour of England.
